Parenting Teenagers
Understand your teenager, strengthen your relationship, communicate with greater wisdom and learn how to guide your teenager through the journey toward responsible adulthood.
About This Course
Parenting a teenager can feel very different from parenting a young child. Teenagers are developing greater independence, forming their identity, navigating friendships and discovering their own beliefs, values and direction.
Parents therefore need to learn how to move from simply controlling behaviour to building connection, trust, influence and responsible independence.
The goal is to create a relationship where teenagers can experience safety, connection and trust while gradually developing the wisdom, responsibility and capacity to make healthy decisions.

Biblical Foundation
Scripture presents parenting as an opportunity to teach, guide, model wisdom and intentionally influence the next generation.
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
— Proverbs 22:6Parenting therefore involves more than correcting behaviour. It includes teaching wisdom, modelling character, creating healthy relationships and preparing children to increasingly take responsibility for their lives.
